Jack Wants a Pool

Today was a pretty warm day, so we decided to play out on the deck with some water toys. It's nice to have the deck off the dining room so Callie won't be left all alone in the house. By the way, it's the beginning of the season and we haven't bought him a swimming suit yet. After his shorts got soaking wet, he played in his diaper, so you'll have to excuse his indecency.

Jack liked to play with the fun cups, mostly dumping the water all over the deck and then saying, "Oh, no! Water!" After a while, though, he wanted to see how else he could play with the water...

First he tried putting his ear in the water...

Then he thought, "Hey, it's fun to get my head wet, maybe it would be fun to get ALL wet!"

He doesn't seem to understand that this is a water activity table, not a wading pool! He was having so much fun climbing in and out, though, that we just couldn't say no. We decided we'd head out to Walmart and get one of those little plastic wading pools so Jack can actually play properly with the water toys we provide for him!

He also had fun wandering around the deck finding leaves and other lovely presents for Mom.

And on that note: Here are some cute pictures of the kids!

Callie loves to give big smiles to Mom and Dad. She is such a joy to have around!

Here's Jack being goofy and growling at the camera.

Occasionally Jack will pay attention to Callie and play with her a little bit. He mostly ignores her, though, which is just fine!

And Jack playing peek-a-boo behind a chair. Woo hoo!

Good gracious, it's been awile sense I've been able to look at blogs and I can tell. Jack looks older in these pictures to me. Callie too of course. She is such a little cutie!
I'm a little jealous that you've been able to play with water outside. I got Joseph this cool kiddy pool and I'm so anxious to try it but it just hasn't been quite warm enough yet. oh well, I'm sure we'll get plenty of use soon enough.

I love that Jackson is going to be a fish. He is grandmas boy.
