Beauty Tips from the Expert

Okay, no, I'm not an expert on beauty tips (I know you believed me!), but I do read a lot of blogs. Recently, an old friend blogged about how she used vinegar (PEW!) in her hair. Um, that sounds pretty gross. But being the adventurous person I am (not), I thought I'd try it.

Here's me modeling my shiny, soft hair. I know what you're thinking, but please, don't call on me to be in your fashion magazines and runway shows. I have way too much going on right now!

My point is, the vinegar stinks, but it doesn't smell after your hair is dry. And it did indeed make my hair shinier and softer. So who knew?

Is it going to damage your hair if you use it frequently? Also, I like the "blue steel" look!

Do you put it in your hair when its wet or dry? Do you wash it out? How exactly does it work?

To answer your question Lindsay, I think it removes any build-up and junk from your hair and scalp, and it also closes the hair cuticles or something, which leaves your hair shiny and soft. I basically googled "vinegar hair rinse" and read about it. You're supposed to wash your hair regularly, then use the vinegar, then rinse. I used conditioner after the vinegar, then blow-dried my hair normally.

You know, I've heard that there are alot of uses for vinegar. I like though that you can use it for your hair. It's got to be a lot more affordable than alot of saloon remedies.

Hmmm.
I wonder what would happen if we put food coloring or some other sort of dye in the vinegar...
