We visited a local beach in Washington. The kids were really excited because we had visited the beach before in New York. This particular beach was a little different, though. There was a lot of seaweed and the sand was darker and smelled a bit different.
It took a little while for the kids to warm up to the idea!
The kids found a dead crab, so Jack carried it around in his bucket, then buried it in the sand.
Callie and Jack wanted to be buried in the sand, so we obliged.
Once Luke got used to it, he had a great time exploring in the sand. He got quite dirty!
The kids built a lot of structures in the sand, then had a lot of fun smashing them!
Grandma and Grandpa helped build, too!
Dad had already gone back to New York, but we got a partial-family picture!
