Feeling analytical

Since becoming a mother, I…

- have missed out on so much sleep, it kills me

- cut my getting-ready-for-the-day time in half

- gained a new scar across my abdomen (blech)

- found a love for this little person I didn’t know I had in me

- think all Jack’s facial expressions and babblings are the funniest thing

- find myself using made-up words quite frequently (snuggle-bo-buggles, sweetie-petey, smooshy-shmoo, etc…)

- have found a new appreciation for my own parents

- found so much excitement in Jack’s first little teeth

- tend to repeat words or phrases (“Should we feed you feed you?” “Ready for night night?” “Jumpa jumpa!” “Don’t be so sad sad.”)

- worry about kidnappers, fires, bombs, earthquakes, car crashes, and any other harm that could possibly befall my child

- have been more tired than I ever thought possible

- still haven’t changed more diapers than I did in the two years after college taking care of other peoples’ babies (let’s see… 4 diapers/day x 6 babies x 5 days/week x 2 years…)

- realized that I had taken my pre-baby free time for granted

- enjoy going for walks more often

- find myself worrying about the future so much more than I had before

You're a great mom! Good list, but didn't you always used to say snuggle bo buggles?
