The Colors of Fall

Jack is a strange boy sometimes. He's recently discovered his tongue and likes to show it off as often as he can. We're hoping it's just a phase...

Jack and Dad got to play outside for a while the other day and enjoy the beautiful autumn colors!

It's so nice to have seasons around here. We've lived in Eastern Idaho and Oregon, neither of which have real seasons. I think we're going to like it here!

Our apartment complex has a lot of grass and trees that create a nice array of colors during the fall season.

Jack likes to pick up leaves he finds on the ground and try to put them back on the trees. Then he gets upset when they fall back onto the ground. He thinks he's helping the trees...

He really does love to be outside. We've been lucky that the weather has been nice lately and that we have a big "yard" to play in. Except when the smokers are out... Yuck.

Overall, Jack loves the leaves and grass, but his favorite outside activity is feeding the squirrels that come eat the cashews we throw outside. He asks every day to put more nuts outside so the squirrels will come. And they definitely come when the nuts are out there! I'll have to get some pictures of that one of these days!
