We're really loving that the children's museum is only 10 minutes away! Every time we go, Jack finds so many new things to try. This trip, he went in this room that is supposed to show how the angles of a room can make you look smaller or larger. He was mostly attracted to the huge duck poster in the middle.
Then he realized there was a screen that showed the room and everyone in it. "Hey! There's a baby boy on that TV!"
He spent a long time in this area where there are little tiny plastic pellets all over the floor (they're supposed to be used for some kind of musical instrument, but they're just spread out all over). He would take his time and select the best ones, then choose two and carefully pick them up.
Then he would run around the room victorious with his two plastic pellets. Then drop them on the floor and start over. I say, hey, whatever makes him happy.
A funny story about Jack- we taught him where his elbow was a while ago, and he knows what we are referring to, but will often point to his wrist instead. Well, we went to the store one day and his Dad was showing him a book with Elmo the monster, from Sesame Street, on it. He told Jack the monster's name was Elmo. Jack immediately pointed to his wrist, meaning "elbow." So now, whenever we go to the museum and he hears or sees Elmo the monster, he'll point to his wrist or elbow! Silly boy!
Jack loves buttons of all shapes and sizes and will never pass up a chance to push one. This button, for example, made a nice loud honking sound like a big semi-truck. He was forced to stop after the first few dozen times...
