Our Days

Our ward here in New York has a playgroup that gets together once a week. Since Jack lacks social skills (he won't let anyone near him, let alone touch him), we thought it might be beneficial to join! This week we went to Long Acre Farms, where they have a corn maze, goats to feed, and other farm-ish things.

This is what Callie does at playgroup. She's the best-behaved child there!

Here's Jack heading out to the big ole' wooden train they have to play on. The "playground" toys are all made of wood and don't seem all that safe, but at least the kids will have fun... (except for the many splinters and slivers they'll come home with...)

Jack's cheeks were nice and pink after running around in the hot sun for a couple of hours. He decided to relax in a nice rocking chair on the gazebo. Now that's a fun playdate!

Jack needed some sunglasses to protect his precious baby blues, so we got him some cool "Cars" sunglasses (hence the little car sticker on the corner). He thinks he's pretty cool. And he is.

This is Jack's very first painting. He loved painting. He did it at school and we have yet to try it at home. I guess we need to invest in a smock and some sort of covering for the carpet!

This is Jack and his "appo-doo-boss." He is kind of getting obsessed with juice boxes. We have to limit him to one a day with lunch. He never really cared much for juice before, but he's loving it now!

And here's Jack trying out the treadmill. I asked him why he took his shirt off, and he said, "Wet!" Yes, his shirt was indeed wet since he was "brushing his teeth" in the bathroom. He tends to get water all over the place when left alone for more than a few seconds.
