Jack had to help, too, of course. He loves working on "projects" with Dad, especially when they require new tools! It was a lot of work and took a few days, but we got it done!
Another project Dad and Jack worked on is the "Build and Grow" program at Lowe's. Home Depot and Lowe's both offer free projects for kids, and we're taking full advantage. This week, Jack got some cool safety goggles and a patch to add to his apron for every project. He looks so cute in his little goggles!
Here is Jack with his finished product.
After we finally finished the deck, we decided to try it out! The kids love playing in the water.
Jack was brave and sat down in the cold water. Although when we went outside later in the day, the water was like bath water! The heat and humidity come out with a vengeance during these summers in New York!
The kids got capes and masks at Walmart the other day and were excited to fly around the house. Actually, Jack put his on and then said, "Okay, now can I go outside and fly?" We had to explain that people can't fly because we don't have wings like birds. He was pretty disappointed that his cape would not actually make him fly.
Both kids were supposed to be pretending to fly like superman. Callie didn't quite get it. :o)
And here's another trip to the Museum of Play. They were both pretty good at getting the slinky to "walk" down the stairs.
Ryan was also wearing a blue and white striped shirt. It was pretty cute. We'll have to get them all matching again and get some pictures of the three of them.
It's easy to keep track of them when they're wearing similar outfits!
And here's a random picture of Callie drinking an Icee that is as big as she is!
