Finally done!

We finally got around to painting the bathroom and laundry room, so now our basement is official done! It's been a long time in the making. Obviously everyone wants to see a zillion pictures of the construction, so here you go! :o)

Back at the end of 2010/beginning of 2011, we began the journey to finish our basement, adding a bathroom and laundry room. They actually had to dig out the cement and add the pipes and such to prepare. 

The added a pump, also, to get the water out of the basement and into the septic tank in the backyard. That's country livin' for ya.

We knew we couldn't afford to get it all done at once, so we asked the guys to frame everything in, and then we'd finish it later. They were very understanding, thankfully. 

This is what we had for about 3 years. It was functional, at least!

We used the bathroom space for storage. Now we have to figure out where to put all the holiday decorations and such...

And here we have the finished product!

They went ahead and left the space under the stairs somewhat unfinished to save time/money. It's just a storage area, so we didn't have a problem with it.

The laundry room is pretty basic. We're thinking we'll add some shelves above the washer and dryer. The pump ended up hidden away in the closet, so at least we don't have to look at it all the time!

We chose some bright, fun colors to finish up the job. We're glad it's finally done!
