Toronto Zoo

After only one post for the whole month of September, it's about time to get some pictures up!

We took a trip to Canada a couple of weeks ago to visit the Toronto Zoo. We had heard it was quite a large zoo with a lot of fun stuff to do and see. It didn't disappoint! It wasn't a super warm day, but the it was still a lot of fun!

They have pandas at this particular zoo that only stay for 5 years, so that's a pretty exciting exhibit to see. They had a lot of fun facts about pandas, like how much bamboo they eat per day and the size of their paws and such.

We saw a panda hanging out on the rocks. The kids didn't get to see much action, needless to say!

Jack and Callie really liked collecting leaves as we walked around. There was just a touch of fall in the air and some of the leaves had changed colors. By the end of the day, they each had pockets full of crunchy leaves.

Checking out some turtles!

Jack thought the wallaby was very cute. He said they were tiny kangaroos.

We got to see some roaming polar bears. There are supposed to be polar bears at our local zoo, but they haven't been out whenever we have been there. It was fun to actually see some in action!

Jack was trapped in the rocks! Luckily, we freed him from his cage after a little while.

There's a fun path that let us walk right under a big waterfall. Jack thought it was fun to get sprayed by the mist.

These goofballs...

At the end of the day, we went to check out the cool carousel. The kids had a hard time deciding which animal to ride because there were so many to choose from! Callie ended up on a monkey and Jack chose an iguana... or some kind of lizard at least. Komodo dragon, maybe? Either way, they had a lot of fun on their day at the zoo!
