Little Builders

In October, Jack's school had "spirit week," where they wore different themed clothes and such every day. This particular day was "crazy hair/sock" day. Jack wanted blue spikes like Sonic the Hedgehog. We did what we could!

Later in October, we took Jack out of school for the day so we could explore the new exhibit at the Museum of Play. We also baked cupcakes and carved our pumpkins that day!

There were cool tubes that used air currents to pull balls through and shoot them out the top. The kids had a lot of fun with that area!

Jack loved operating the crane and moving blocks around.

Ryan loved exploring, as usual.

Here they had screws, nails, and bolts the kids could play with. Callie loved hammering the nails through the wood over and over again!

Everyone had fun building with these blue foam shapes. Callie loved that there was a little "house" set up and Jack liked making tall stacks of blocks and knocking them down!

We also took a quick trip to the Wegman's play area and the kids did a cooking show and weather report. Jack now knows what it means to "play hooky" from school, and he'd like to do it again!
