Carve Those Pumpkins!

We went to a fun pumpkin farm right before Halloween to pick out our pumpkins. The kids loved running through the field to choose the right one. Ryan was content to watch. Next year he'll be running all over the pumpkin fields, too!

Here's the family with their final selections.

And, of course, the traditional "stick your face in a cut out" pictures.

This farm had a corn "maze," but it was more of a corn "path" because there weren't any choices!

A couple of days before Halloween, we got those pumpkins cleaned and carved! The kids actually found it quite interesting to see what was inside the pumpkins and they really liked collecting seeds.

Callie was not afraid to get her hands dirty!

On Halloween night, it was kind of windy and we didn't have the fake candles for the pumpkins, so we had to use real ones. They wouldn't stay lit... Jack's face is the "happy" pumpkin, then Mom and Ryan made a cranky pumpkin, Dad made a flaming skull pumpkin, and Callie chose a "sad" pumpkin.

This is after trick-or-treating, so we're all wearing our skeleton outfits!
