Here we are at the zoo near the end of our "staycation." We were hoping to avoid the afternoon thunderstorm that was predicted for the day, and we made it out to the car just as it started pouring down! Phew! The kids saw lots of cool animals and had fun exploring. Above, Callie and Dad are checking out the Bald Eagle.
Watch out for giant spiders!
This is one of their favorite places in the zoo- a veterinary office with stuffed animals. They wanted to stay all day, but we had to move on to see the real animals!
The kids were watching the zoo keepers bathe an elephant.
Luke didn't see many animals, but he had fun anyway!
