We visited a local animal shelter/farm recently called "Lollypop Farm." Unfortunately, it is not a farm full of lollypops as its name suggests. They take in stray or unwanted animals and find homes for them. They also have an area where the kids can pet sheep and goats.
Ryan wasn't terribly interested in petting the animals, but Jack and Callie enjoyed it!
The kids spent a long time checking out the chickens and roosters. They thought the chickens made funny noises and wiggled their heads a lot.
Inside, the kids loved looking at rabbits, mice, and even a turtle.
After exploring the farm, we enjoyed a picnic in the shade. The kids had a great time, and since it's completely free to visit, we'll have to head back again soon!
