Thanksgiving (ish) 2016

Right after Thanksgiving, we set up our Christmas tree. We decided to invest in a nice artificial tree from now on. It'll be nice to be able to set up the tree any time we want, even though we'll miss that authentic pine smell. At least we won't be missing the sticky sap and the pine needles everywhere!

Everyone helped add the ornaments, including the new ones from Great-Grandma Culwell. The kids were very excited to pick out their own hand-made star ornaments.

This was the first year we cooked a whole turkey (a small one), and the kids were excited to try breaking the wishbone. It was harder than they thought it was going to be!

Shortly after Thanksgiving, we also went out to Home Depot for their free project for kids. It was nice having a better adult to child ratio this time!

Ryan got a special pin for completing his 10th workshop, and the man who runs the workshops provided a nice photobomb!
