Jack's Ultrasound

Today Jack went to the radiologist's office for an ultrasound. He has had some issues with his kidneys from before he was born, and his doctors want to keep an eye on them. Hopefully there will be nothing seriously wrong. So far, he has been fine, but he does have cysts on one of his kidneys. Jack's pediatrician is pretty sure there is nothing to worry about, though. During the ultrasound, he did not enjoy having to lay still on the table, but he did very well. He mostly played with his Dad's iphone.

Today, Jack wanted to illustrate his newfound love of reading and spelling. He even learned how to spell his own name.

Here he is in the beginning stages. For some reason, he prefers to spell things starting with the last letter, and working toward the front. He's looking for that "A."

There we go. He got the "A" in there. That should do it.

And here he is so proud that he got it right. He's holding a "T" because he told me he could also spell "tack" if he replaced the "J." He is so stinkin' smart! Although, if one were to look at the pictures in reverse order, one might think he was just taking the letters down. I think we all know the truth, though...

Glad to hear that things still look fine for Jack's kidneys. And yes, you really do have a smart little guy there.
