At the Little Gym

Jack attends the Little Gym once a week for a fun class with other babies. He is classified as a "Little Bird." He LOVES running in circles (with my help, of course) and exploring all of the gymnastics equipment. The teachers all think he is adorable. I think he is teacher's pet.

It may appear that Jack is just sitting on the floor in the picture above, but no, a closer look reveals that he is actually balancing on a ball. He loves the ball-playing time at the Little Gym!

Here he is wondering why in the world we have put him on a giant donut-shaped object. He is looking to me for reassurance because he started off standing on the ground, then flipped up and over and ended on his hands with a back flip. He was a little apprehensive, but then he gave a smile.

Here he is working the parallel bars. He likes all the bright colors and fun textures to explore during the class. (Thank goodness for the spell-check feature on blogger. I swear I knew how to spell parallel...)

He is very good at walking along the balance beams. They have an extra-wide beam for the little people, but Jack does just fine on the standard width. He just watches his feet and puts one in front of the other. We think he is a natural!

Here he is hanging off the bar. He's only being supported at his hips, so he's holding himself up pretty well. He even thought to use his mouth for extra stability!

And here he is ready to drop down and continue exploring. He's quite the little gymnast!
