BBQ-ing

This evening we were able to attend a fun barbecue at the home of a nice family from church.

There was a lot going on there, but Jack was more interested in figuring out if there was anything in Daddy's mouth...

You'd think from the pictures that we were at a park, but this was actually the family's property. Complete with a large hammock, huge tree house with twisty slide,

Giant trampoline with mesh cover, and spinning metal toy thing with 4 seats.

They even had their own rainbow, for goodness' sake!

Anyway, it was pretty cool. Jack liked swinging with Mommy's help and eating macaroni salad and hotdogs.

And he loved climbing to the top of the tree house with Daddy. He's actually trying to get his foot over the railing to climb down in the picture. Crazy kid.

And, of course, among the dogs, goats, roosters and ducks were the chickens. Jack likes to learn about animals and loves to see them in action!

But his favorite part of the trip was wandering around the grounds finding rocks and sticks. Here he has discovered a nice, round stone.

And here he is eating a nice, round stone. How many times must we tell you, Jack, rocks are not for eating!

And once we got home, he had a nice, relaxing bubble bath to clean off all the dirt he collected at the barbecue!
