One of Jack's favorite activities in the whole wide world is playing with bubbles. We don't do it very often, however, because of the way Jack likes to play with the bubbles. He couldn't care less about the bubbles that actually come out of the wand and float around. He wants the bubble wand itself and the bottle of bubbles.

Whenever he sees his bubbles around the house (we usually try to hide them a little so he doesn't see them too often), he starts yelling "Bubba, bubba!" while trying to grab them. He is very persistent about it, too, so we usually give in. In this picture, he had discovered them, and was using his begging face to get me to open the bottle.

One bottle of bubbles is actually filled with bubble mixture, while this yellow bottle is filled with water. He likes to stick the bubble wand directly into his mouth, so we prefer him to drink water instead of soap. At least it improves his hand-eye coordination. He is very good at repeatedly dipping the wand into the bottle.

After dipping the wand, he likes to spread the bubbles around on different objects. Sometimes it's his mouth or clothes, sometimes it's the table, and in the case, it's his toy truck.

And this is what happens when bubble time is over. There is only so much water-spreading that I can take. He would probably play with his bubbles all day long if we let him.

"I just want to have a little fun! What's wrong with that??"
