Well, after house-hunting for a little while, we have put an offer on a house and it was accepted! We are very excited about buying our first house, so hopefully everything will work out! We're aware that things can happen in between now and closing that can mess things up, but so far, so good. We are finished with the loan approval, inspection, and appraisal, so now we wait until mid-November when we close. We're keeping our fingers crossed!
And here's Jack being cute. He's been a pretty happy camper lately, which we appreciate since so much has been going on. He is content to play with his toys and books and just hang out all day. He's getting quite a little goofy personality and he loves to laugh.
He has learned to recognize and say many of the letters of the alphabet recently, so we bought him some magnetic letters for the fridge. He also still loves his animal noises. He's recently picked up rooster ("Doo Doo DOOOO"), but he still loves cat and horse the best.
Sander calls this expression his "bull dog" face since he makes his cheeks stick out a little more. He's been finding all sorts of new facial expressions lately, especially when we're driving places. We look to the back seat to find Jack's face contorted into some weird expression. We'll have to get it on video sometime. He's quite the character.
Overall things are going very well here. We are settling in and Sander is still finishing up his thesis paper. It looks like he might be starting work sooner than we thought, but it will definitely be for the best. We're feeling extremely blessed and we're looking forward to what comes next!
