We took Jack to the Strong Children's Museum in Rochester last week. We decided to get a membership since this is something we can visit often. Plus, kids under two are free! When we first walked in, there were large fish tanks for the kids to explore. We couldn't get Jack to leave them! We tried to explain that there was a lot more to see, but he wanted to stay!

We took him to the grocery store to do some shopping. He really liked pushing the cart and picking out items to buy.

Once he found the produce section, he wouldn't leave! All he wanted were some fresh fruits and vegetables. I guess we've taught him well.

We did get him to finally head over to the deli where he selected some cheese and a bagel. He thought it was pretty cool that he was allowed to take things off the shelves and chuck them into the cart.

Then it was off to check out! He likes to help at the real grocery store by putting his sippy cup and Mom's wallet on the moving belt, so it was fun for him to put his own groceries on.

Now he's the cashier, ready to help out his loyal customers. Will that be paper or plastic, Ma'am?

Here are Jack and Dad riding the Strong Express! He actually seemed to have more fun watching the train go around with other people riding, but he still thought it was pretty cool.

He wanted his Mom to ride, too, but only one adult gets a free ride at a time! Maybe next time, Jack!

And finally, we visited this fun exhibit where you place these wooden balls on the tray, then turn a wheel to make the balls hit musical notes to make a tune. Jack didn't find that terribly interesting, but did enjoy taking the balls, then running off in the opposite direction to throw them across the room! Time to learn when it is appropriate to throw balls versus when
not to throw wooden balls around small children.
