Oooh, the BIG THREE-OH!

(Picture not really related to the post, but had to be taken since Jack looked so cute going to church today.)

Another birthday for Sander today! He turned 30! It's strange how fast time can go sometimes.

Here are Dad and Jack reading a very touching card from Mom.

And Jack had to help Dad open his presents. He got a new sonicare toothbrush! Perhaps not the most exciting present, but it's practical!

Again with the help from Jack.

It's a huge bottle of very high-end salon shampoo! Woo hoo!

And a season of one of Sander's favorite shows. There was another present coming in the mail, but it didn't quite make it in time. Why doesn't UPS deliver on Saturdays??

Chocolate overload. Sander's favorite brownies are mint chocolate chip. Then we have some rice krispy treats with melted chocolate chips in them. Then, of course, chocolate marble cake! These tasty treats will all be heading to work with Sander in the morning to share in the break room!

Here is Jack enjoying Dad's birthday cake! Jack still struggles with feeding himself, but he is doing better every day! He's never really been in to eating, so it seems like it's not worth the effort sometimes. But for chocolate cake, yes, he will try!

It did take some convincing for him to even try to eat the cake, though, since it made a bit of a mess. He does not like messes (probably due to nurture as opposed to nature), and he often asks for wipes while he is eating (to clean his hands and face and high chair). Even when he has a runny nose, he'll come find an adult and ask for a tissue. Sometimes he'll yell, "Tissue! Tissue!" from his bedroom when he is supposed to be taking a nap. Oh, what have we created?

Burn Notice is one of my favorite series as well. We usually get American Television here, but it is sometimes delayed a season I think we are on season three here. Michael is the 21st century McGyver
