We decided to take Jack outside in the cold weather the other day because it was time to get the driveway shoveled. He hasn't really been out in the snow for an extended period of time since last winter when we were in Washington. For our New York excursion, he got to wear his very cool hand-made socks from Aunt Amy!
Here he is all ready to head out the door. At least this year he gets to wear pants and a coat. Last year he was stuck in his puffy snowsuit that didn't allow for much movement!
He wandered around in the shoveled area while we got the driveway cleared. It was a little too cold for him, though, and since we weren't really playing with him, he didn't want to stay out for very long.
He also really hates having a runny nose (which happens often when one is outside in the cold for long), so he was ready to get inside. At least he got to play in the snow for a little while!
Here is Sander working away at our relatively long driveway. It's a lot of work with just a little snow shovel. In this picture, he still has the left half of the whole thing to do! We're hoping that next year we will be getting a snow-blower. Those make clearing a driveway much easier!
