Here at last!

Callie Angela Marshall was born on Monday, March 8th and 8:36am! She weighed in at a hefty 9lbs 2oz! No one could hold her for quite a while since she was having some breathing problems. Here are Jack and Grandma Marshall checking her out for the very first time! His expression may not look all that happy, but he actually does seem to like her!

Here she is trapped in a big, plastic cylinder. Supposedly it's giving her a lot of oxygen, but I think it's really supposed to be a "cone of silence" so they don't have to hear her crying!

Grandma and Grandpa Marshall were only able to be here for a little while after Callie was born, but it was that time that counted! They were able to watch Jack for us while we ran off to the hospital and we are so very, very grateful for that! It gave us great peace of mind knowing that Jack was safe and happy.

Ahhhh, no more plastic cone! She's a chunker!

You can see her little IV line coming out of her hand. It's a sad sight, but we know it's helping her get better!

Unfortunately, Callie had to come out via repeat c-section, which is definitely not fun. We put up a valiant fight, but she just wasn't coming out. Callie and Mom both have some recovering to do.

We already love this little girl so much! She is a sweet, chubby baby and we are really looking forward to taking her home!

She finally opened her eyes for this picture. Right now they are a very dark blue color. We'll see if they change into Dad and Jack's deep blue or maybe Mom's hazel greenish-brown.
