While we had family visiting, we made sugar cookies. Jack loves to help cook in the kitchen. He especially loves cracking the eggs. In fact, once when we left an egg unattended on the counter for a few seconds, Jack grabbed it and smashed it on the counter. He was just doing what he'd seen Mom and Dad do, so we just cleaned it up and moved on!
Jack likes to help, but is wary of the mixer. He has to be held while it is going or he'll run away. Here he has the support of Aunt Miriam's hand and Mom's arm to keep him safe from the loud contraption.
After the cookies were rolled and baked, Jack helped frost again. He remembered from our last adventure right away and carefully frosted his cookies. (We took his shirt off to avoid frosting getting all over.)
Here we are with Jack's finished cookie. It's beautiful!
And it tastes great, too!
