A Whole Lotta Paintin' Goin' On!

Today we broke out the paints for Jack to use on his easel. He painted at school (our parent/child class) and has talked about it ever since. So we thought it was time to try it out at home. He was very excited to start, but patiently waited while we got everything ready.

This is his concentrating face. He worked at each brush stroke carefully, creating his perfect work of art.

He quickly found that he could do fun things with the brushes, not just smear on the paint! He made little splotches all over with the green!

Here is his completed masterpiece. It is entitled, "Jack's thoughts."

This one is his second attempt. A simpler piece made with only primary colors. It is entitled, "Summer Day."

We also got around to taking pictures of the newly painted bedrooms downstairs. Above is the before picture taken back in December. And after...

No more pink! A lovely, calming shade of green surrounds our guests as they snooze away.

Again, back in December this was the vibrant pink color of our office...

And now it's blue! It makes it much easier to concentrate and get all that hard office work done!

And finally, Mom and Callie had a pedicure day! It is not easy to paint a 4-month-old's toe nails. Frankly, they did not turn out well. But from a distance, they're not too bad!

Here are mother and daughter all matchy-matchy with our pink toe nails and our blue outfits. We're totally bodacious in blue!
