Here are a few hats I crocheted this week. After finishing that afghan, these hats just flew by!
Callie doesn't have much hair, so she probably won't be wearing hats much. They make it look even more obvious that her hair is so short!

This is a "puff stitch" hat. It's a fun one to make and it's a fun texture, too.
Here's Jack in a simple beanie hat. Since it snowed, yet again, in March, these hats were put to use last time we went to the store!
Callie has discovered that she loves reading books. She never really showed much interest before, but one day, she picked up a book, thumbed through it, and has been loving them ever since!
We often find her in her room all by herself, just looking through book after book on the floor. We've got a bookshelf in the works for her room so the books won't have to be stacked on the floor anymore!
She is such a sweet little girl. She loves to cuddle up on Mom or Dad's lap and look through picture books. She seems to be picking up on the vocabulary from the books and especially likes looking at pictures of animals.
Jack joined Callie today to share in the reading fun! He has always loved books and can now read simple sentences and can sound out many words. We watched a video the other day called, "Meet the Sight Words," and he picked up quite a few words from that, too. He can now identify words like "my" and "are" and "here." It's so fun to see his face light up when he successfully reads words and sentences. He feels that sense of pride from doing something right!
