This year, we decided to do Easter baskets/candy/egg hunting on the Saturday before Easter Sunday. Dad is on a weird schedule at work right now, so we have a limited time-frame to work with. We told Jack that the Easter Bunny had visited while he was taking a nap and had left some cool baskets by the front door. He lost no time figuring out how to pop open those candy eggs!
Callie thought the eggs were cool, but didn't really understand what was going on. She thought the "grass" in the baskets felt a little weird and avoided that after an initial explore. (Both kids are still kind of waking up from their naps, so Callie looks a little tired!)
Here's Callie about to eat some foil wrapping left over from the candy Jack was eating. She actually really likes to chew on paper of any kind, so eating foil probably wouldn't be that bad to her!
We had purchased this little pizza set to save for Jack's birthday, but decided to give it to him for Easter since he really doesn't have much food to play with in his new kitchen. He'll be getting more food for his birthday next month, anyway, so at least he can play with the pizza until then.
Callie got a nice, cuddly bunny. The bunny is giving a smaller bunny hugs, so we felt it was appropriate for Callie. She loves hugging animals and people.
We did a quick Easter egg hunt in the living room before Dad had to run off to work. Jack caught on pretty quick and was able to find all the eggs in record time! It helps that he had no competition. Maybe next year we'll take him to one of those Easter egg hunts where there are tons of kids running around like crazy trying to get the most eggs.
Here's Jack showing off his treasure. He soon realized that each egg had candy in it, too. Now we have Easter candy galore all over the house!
This is the best picture Callie would allow us to get of her pretty dress on Easter Sunday. Now that she can walk all over the place, she doesn't hold still for long!
And here's Jack's outfit for church. Both kids' outfits were found at Good Will. I guess there are a lot of people who buy nice outfits for their kids for Easter and then they never wear them again! Lucky us!

cute cute CUTE!
how fun! I miss those kiddos, they are so cute!
Happy Easter to you all as well. Aren't holidays getting to be more and more fun as the kids get a little more fun? Last year Joseph still had a hard time understanding hunting to eggs, but not this year!
I hope Sander wont have to work his crazy schedule for too long.
What a fun Easter. They are so cute. Wish we could see them more.
