West Coast Fun

My sister and I can never get together without making cupcakes! We made these gnome cupcakes while we were hanging out. We didn't really have a reason for making them, so I don't know that they all actually got eaten...

We also tend to try out different things with our hair. This time, we decided to try colored chalk in our hair. I forgot to get a picture of Miriam's hair, but we ended up using green on hers for her school spirit day. Jack wanted in on the action, too!

We took a little road trip out to Everett, WA to meet some kittens that Miriam had been observing via the internet for quite a while. The kids loved checking out all the pets at Petsmart, but no, we will not be getting one!

Grandpa Culwell made a fire twice while we visited. We got to roast marshmallows and make s'mores. The kids thought it was super cool.

Sander had already gone home by this time, so it was just me and the kids.

I borrowed some of Miriam's footie PJ's to try out for a night. They were quite cozy.

The kids loved playing with Grandpa. Jack even got to go "camping" with Grandpa in the living room. Grandma Culwell had set up a big blanket fort for the kids earlier that day, and Grandpa volunteered to sleep in the living room with Jack that night. He was very excited and actually slept quite well in there.

Ryan slept a lot, as usual, but still got to spend a lot of time with Grandpa, Grandma, and Auntie Mim. He's a pretty easy-going baby, so as long as someone was holding him, he was good to go!

I just had to post this picture from a few years ago of Grandpa and Jack on that very same swing. The kids are growing up so fast!
