Since Grandpa and Grandma Marshall were visiting a little before Thanksgiving, we decided to have our Thanksgiving dinner on the Sunday before the big day. We had plenty of turkey, stuffing, and all the good stuff that must be included in every Thanksgiving meal. It was delicious!
Callie and Jack had to try out the traditional "olive hands." Good thing they actually like to eat olives so they aren't just used as hand ornaments.
We also spent some time in a nearby town, Canandaigua. It has a nice, old-fashioned feel to it and it's fun to just drive around the streets and check out the houses. We stopped at a park that borders Canandaigua Lake and the kids explored the water with Grandma.
Ryan was there, too, hanging out with Mom.
We visited another park that had some pretty cool features. This play set was built to look like a big pirate ship, complete with pirate flag and a "plank" that kids can walk out on and bounce on.
There was also a "kid powered" sound system that made music and sound effects when someone turns a crank. It also records sounds/voices and plays them back in a high-pitched squeak. It was pretty funny!
The kids had a great time exploring new parks with Grandpa and Grandma!
And we had plenty of good meals, both at home and at restaurants while our visitors were with us. We are very glad to have had some time to spend with Grandpa and Grandma Marshall! Thanks for visiting!
