We ended the summer with a little vacation to Connecticut. We took a short (ish) drive through New York, Massachusetts, and then to the Hartford, Connecticut area so Dad could go to a BYU football game. It was Luke's first road trip and hotel stay! He did well, as did all the kids.
We took the time to see some sites around Connecticut, including one of the many Children's Museums they have in the area. It was definitely a different experience than what we are used to at our local museum. This one also had a planetarium which featured some cool short movies.
This particular museum had some live animals, including lizards, snakes, and turtles.
Is that a flip flop sticking out of that turtle shell?
Why yes, it was a flip flop!
It was a nice way to end the summer. The kids had a lot of fun and we can now check Massachusetts and Connecticut off our list of "states visited!"
