Today we went to Bounce-It-Out to escape the 90-something degree weather. This place is a huge warehouse-type building that holds dozens of inflatable slides/toys/bounce houses. It's mostly for older kids, but we thought we'd try it out.
As soon as we walked in, Jack kept saying, "I don't want to go in. I don't want to go in!" He is not a fan of bouncy houses. Once I forced him into one, though, he had a pretty good time!
Here's Callie going down a slide. Silly girl.
Callie has been teething lately and is often cranky, so it's good for her to get out of the house and get distracted from her pain. Those molars are probably pretty painful when they're trying to burst out of the gums! (Since Callie was whining a lot at home, Dad showed Jack that he not only has teeth in his mouth, but also gums. He had to go around showing people his gums today!)
Jack is usually a very cautious child, (hence the dislike of anything inflated/bouncy), but after being coerced into climbing, he had fun trying new things and pushing himself physically. He didn't think he could make it to the top, but he did it!
We spent a little bit of time in the baby/toddler play room. Jack discovered the play kitchen and had to explore. He loves kitchens!
Jack took several trips down the slide and by the end of our stay, he was much more comfortable playing on all the fun toys!
Here's Callie sneaking up on a crocodile (or... alligator). She had a lot of fun!
We met up with our friends, Brooke and Asher. Asher is the same age as Callie (only about a month difference), so they did a lot of the same activities. This was actually Callie's first playdate with someone her own age!
Overall, we had a great time, but we probably won't go back for quite a while. For the price you pay to get in, it's not really worth it for such young children. Older kids would definitely have a blast, though!
