On Saturday we went to our church's Halloween party. The kids got all dolled up in their cool Dalmatian puppy costumes. We snagged these outfits somewhat last minute at Walmart. After Jack saw Callie trying on the costume, he really wanted to be a dog, too!
Callie wanted to try out her sad puppy eyes.
And now she's a happy puppy!
Here are the cute kiddos together.
Here are the kids waiting for dinner at the party. They had a lot of fun running around the gym and checking out all the other kids in costume!
After eating dinner and playing some games, we went "trunk-or-treating." The kids got to walk around the parking lot, gathering candy at record speed!
They were pretty excited once they realized their baskets were filling up with candy as they walked around!
Here they are hanging out in the back of the van, enjoying some of their loot. They now have way too much candy for children their age!
On the day of Halloween, we were able to head over to the Museum of Play for their toddler Halloween party. There were so many children there running around in their cute little costumes. It was quite crowded!
We went to check out the football exhibit and had to take the opportunity to snap a picture of Jack's future. He's going to be a big football star when he grows up!
The kids anxiously awaited their traditional carousel ride. The anticipation made Callie go a little crazy!
They were both pretty tired after a long day at the crowded museum. We went straight home and right to bed for some nice naps!
In the evening, we went to a couple of houses in the neighborhood to do some official trick-or-treating. Once we got started, Jack realized what was happening and wanted to go, "to the next house!" over and over again. We only did a few, but he got a taste of it! Next year we'll have to take more time for trick-or-treating!
