Painting Pumpkins

We haven't done any carving or decorating of pumpkins for quite a few years, so we decided to give it a try this year! Callie had never actually used a paint brush, and she was pretty excited to see what she could do with it!

Jack, of course, is an old pro with the paint brush and he got right to work. (We took their shirts off and put bibs on, but they ended up staying completely clean!)

We were cheap and only bought one pumpkin for the two to share. Maybe next year they can each have their own!

They're almost done!

Jack took this picture of Dad working on his masterpiece. We actually did end up carving one pumpkin while the other was being painted. Again, we're cheap, so we only have two pumpkins total!

Here are the little goofy guys with the finished products. It's hard to tell, but the carved pumpkin is an image of three ghosts emerging from a cauldron. It's spooky!
