Chicken and Ghosts

Mom and the kids ran off to Washington for a visit with family and left Dad all alone in New York! We'll be back soon, though. We hope he is not too lonely!

Since we're here, we thought we'd make some fun cupcakes with Aunt Miriam. We tried out the "TV Dinner" idea from the cupcake book.

This delicious dinner includes three chicken drumsticks, some mashed potatoes with gravy, some peas and carrots, and some pudding for dessert!

Yum!

We also decided to get into the Halloween spirit by making some ghosts! These cupcakes might look simple, but they have many delicious ingredients! They are frosted with chocolate frosting, then covered in Oreo crumbs,  with vanilla ice cream in the middle of the cupcake (placed in a cut-out area of the cupcake), then another layer of cupcake, then cool whip and mini M&Ms!

They have to be in the freezer until they are ready to be eaten, which makes for a nice, cool treat!
