Blanket Fort

After Dad's birthday was sufficiently celebrated, we took down the balloons to play with downstairs. The helium-filled balloons actually stayed up longer than we thought they would.

After distributing the balloons around the basement, Jack found something else to play with. Jack and Dad had built a blanket fort a couple of days earlier, and it was time to explore it again!

Callie wasn't sure what to think of it at first and kept trying to pull the blankets down. (By the way, Callie is now wearing Jack's old pajamas and some of his t-shirts and jeans. This is why she is wearing sports-themed PJs!)

Here are the kids playing together in the fort. Jack liked to pretend to sleep on the pillows.

Callie was feeling the ceiling. She was still puzzled as to what exactly was going on. "Why are there blankets all over the place? Is it nap time?"

Here's Jack coming out of the "back room." The fort was made in a location that allowed for a higher back room comprised of the treadmill and the coffee table.

Here's Jack lounging in the fort. It's just like camping- only indoors!

And here's Callie. She was doing her little squeaky squeal. She gets pretty excited sometimes. She doesn't always need a reason to be excited, though. Sometimes she's just extra happy!
