We're still in the middle of winter here in New York, so we often spend a lot of time inside. Luckily, we have a membership to the National Museum of Play! We went out there today to have a good time! Above, Jack is debating whether or not to try out the rock-climbing wall. In the end, he decided to pass.
Instead, Jack went over to try some Dance Dance Revolution! He got the high score! (Okay, not really.)
He always has to head up the steps of 123 Sesame Street to see if anyone is home. It seems that every time we come, they've all stepped out!
And he loves to play the piano in Elmo's World. Sometimes he gets a little possessive of the piano, though, and wants to stop all the other kids from playing it! It's so hard for a two-year-old to understand the concept of, "Not everything I see is mine!" He's working on it.
Here are Mom and Callie. Callie was riding in style today in her new backpack. It's so nice to be able to keep Callie out of the way, yet still keep her included. She had a great time in there!
Jack tried on Elmo's rain coat. Or, maybe it was Mr. Noodle's rain coat. Either way, he's prepared for the storm!
Jack loves to use scissors. We bought him his own for cutting paper at home since he loved using them at the museum so much. Unfortunately, Jack cut his pajama pants with them the other day, so has since lost scissor privileges!
They have this cool pay phone on Sesame Street that lets the kids hear different characters' voices. I'm sure most kids nowadays don't even know what a pay phone is, ("What's with this cord attached to this huge phone-looking thing?") but Jack thought it was very cool to hear Elmo, Big Bird, and Ernie talking to him.
At the end of our day, we went on the carousel, as usual. This time, though, Callie got to ride, too! We have a punch card for free rides on the carousel, and the lady taking the tickets punched it twice since there were two kids. What's that about? It's not like Callie is actually riding on a horse! Oh, well.
Jack is already talking about our next trip to the "Mooseum of Pway!"

Sounds like Jack was having a wonderful time there. It's nice to have a place like that to visit when you just get tired of being home all the time.
So cute!! I wish we had one of those here
