It's Christmas Time in the City (Country, actually)

Here are Dad and Callie in front of the fire on Christmas Eve. We had the stockings hanging there, but it gets pretty hot once a fire is going, so we had to take them down. Santa found them, anyway, so it's okay.

And here is the tree, all ready to be the keeper of presents the next day! As much fun as it is to play with the tree, Callie was very interested in the camera at the moment. We actually didn't have much trouble with the kids playing with the tree. Callie chewed on the needles a couple of times, but they don't taste good, so she stopped. Other than that, we just kept the ornaments that were okay to play with at the bottom of the tree for the kids to touch, and we were set!

Here's Jack on Christmas morning. He knew exactly what was going to happen, and he was anxious to get the show on the road!

This is Jack's third Christmas. Since his first, he has perfected his present-opening skills.

Jack loves fake food and play kitchens. Santa didn't bring him a kitchen, but he got some pretty cool play food! Here are his magnetic ice cream scoops and cones!

This was a super cool gift from Alan and Jeni. It's "Guess Who, the Family Edition!" It's quite amazing that the number of people is exactly right for the number of squares!

Callie wanted to play "Guess Who" right away. Now we can quiz her on her extended family and she'll know everyone's name!

Jack got a really cool train set from Grandma and Grandpa Marshall. He loved setting it up and watching the train go around and around!

We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We'll try to get some official Christmas cards out next year!
