Play, Play, All Day!

Today was a pretty typical day in our house. Most days we run errands in the morning, then come home for naps, then just hang out until bed time. On this day, Jack wanted to build a tall tower with his blocks. We accidentally knocked parts of it down a few times, but we didn't let that keep us down!

After we snapped a picture, Jack was more than happy to kick the whole thing down! It seems to be just as satisfying as building the thing!

Both kids really enjoy playing on the slide donated by Aunt Annie (and brought to us by Grandma and Grandpa Marshall). Jack loves to find new ways to slide down!

Callie is playing "princess stuck in a high tower." Unfortunately, she still can't play the part of Rapunzel very well. We have faith that she will eventually grow more hair!

Callie has gone through different stages with this particular toy. At first, she was scared of it and was always getting stuck halfway up the slide as she would try to climb it. We were constantly pulling her off the middle of it while she was in tears because she couldn't move up or down without fear of falling. Then she learned to climb up the ladder and she loved to slide down over and over again. Currently, she loves to climb to the platform, then whine until someone helps her get down because, apparently, she is back to being afraid of the slide!

Jack still absolutely loves his kitchen. His favorite kitchen-related toy is his battery-powered mixer. It can sit on its stand, or be a hand-held mixer. He loves to make "cake" or "brownies." Of course, he greatly prefers to actually help Mom or Dad in the real kitchen while we make food, but this will do for now!

Oh it looks like so much fun at the Marshall house. Wish we were there playing too.
