Father's Day/New Van/Party Hijinks

Here are some belated Father's Day pictures. Sander had a great day full of relaxation, game-playing, and good food.

One of the gifts Sander received was a small remote-controlled helicopter. The kids were a little wary of it at first (and still are a bit), but it was fun to watch!

It can hover quite well in one place or zoom all over the room at break-neck speeds! Sander has crashed it into walls and other various objects (including Jack's head), but it has survived!

We also said goodbye to a beloved member of our family, Eva the Subaru. It was time for her to go to a new home so we could get a bigger vehicle. We will miss her!

Here is our latest addition to the family, Olivia the minivan. (Note how we erased our license plate number to protect ourselves from identity theft and stalkers...) We felt it was time to get a minivan so we could tote around more stuff and, hopefully, expand our family. We have nothing to announce about that last matter thus far, but stay tuned. The "stuff," on the other hand- we've already picked up some new shutters for the house and a porch swing for the deck! It's so nice to actually have space to put stuff!

We also went to a birthday party today and the kids got to pretend to be caterpillars. Here's the "Callie-pillar."

And the "Jacker-pillar!"
