We made the drive up to Coralville, Iowa a couple of times to go boating with the Marshalls. Callie was so excited to see the water. For the first trip, Callie and Mom stayed at the beach while Jack and Dad went on the boat. Callie showed no hesitation when walking right into the water!
She kept trying to walk out farther into the water. She didn't understand that it would keep getting deeper!
While we were playing on the beach, some huge dark clouds rolled in. We made it back to the van just in time to avoid the heavy rain! We decided to dry off and spend the rest of the time on dry land.
After the rain stopped, Callie wandered the park and found cool leaves to explore while we waited for the rest of the family to get back from boating.
These pictures are from the second trip to the reservoir. Grandma Marshall, Jack, Dad, and Callie took a little trip on the tube.
Proof that they went outside the wake. It got pretty bumpy!
Here they are on their way back in. You can see Grandma lost her hat, and Jack's hair is all windblown. They had tons of fun!
