While we visited Nauvoo, we took the kids to the Pioneer Past Times area. They have games that the pioneer children (and probably adults), used to play during their free time. Here are the kiddos sitting on some wooden sheep. :o)
We brought some bubbles that were left over from the wedding reception to play with. Callie loves bubbles!
Here are Dad and Jack trying out a ring-throwing game involving these long sticks and the wooden ring.
Here's Callie checking out the play cabin they have set up for the kids. There are pots and pans to cook with and baby dolls to dress and put to sleep.
Jack tried out some old-timey bowling!
Here are Callie and her cousin, Isla, playing with the wooden blocks.
Grandma Marshall is helping Jack wiggle the bear up the ropes. He got pretty good at it!
Here's Jack trying out the stilts!
Both kids got pretty hot while they ran around in the sun. Jack spent a good amount of time playing in the water to cool off. It was fun to see what the pioneer children spent their time playing with.
